    1. Ray Dubois, Marketing Consultant from the Green Bay Diocese meet with school staff and the Development Committee on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 3:00pm.   The discussion was on new ways to help promote the school.   Some of those ideas follow:
  • Sponsor a child
  • Articles on Gifted and talented promoting that Sacred Heart teaches to the individual child
  • Promote that sports start earlier in 4 th grade rather than 5 th grade (public school)
  • Possibly starting a 4-year-old Preschool Program
  1. Discussion about a possibly 4-year-old Preschool Program
    1. Lois came up with figures for a possible of 14 Sacred Heart families that may attending the Pre-K program for two half days per week.   Families would pay $56 for 37 weeks.   (See separate report for more details.)
    1. The following is a list of what was discussed regarding a Pre-K program:
  • Each grade level varies in numbers of families.
  • Contact the 14 families to see if they’re interested.
  • Other local schools have Pre-k programs for 5 days, can’t see having just two days.   Some of those programs are free.
  • Talked about a 3-day program if St. James is going to a 5 day program – some parents may be interested in still only having a 3-day program.
  • Need to have a detailed plan before we contact parents.
  • Plan now to have the program for next year.
  • Cleared room empty and ready to go.
  • Paula offered to call families.
  • Feb. 7 th next Development Committee could discuss this further.
  • Feb. 5 th Kindergarten program…maybe promote this program instead.
  • Possibly have a three day program that is free.
  • Parishioners aren’t sending students to Sacred Heart.   There’s a lack of support from younger Sacred Heart families.
  • Work out a program that’s inviting.   Father supports this.
  • Talked about Pulaski V.B.M. Pre-k.
    1. Dev. Committee Jan. 31 st at 3:30pm will discuss this further.
  1. Old business
    1. School door bell is installed.
    2. Faith Formation safety plan is going well.
    3. School safety update.
    4. Suggested that we have someone look at the safety of the buildings.   Amy will contact officer that will volunteer to inspect the grounds for safety.
    5. Open gym idea should be discussed with the Activities Committee.
  1.  New business
    1. Faith Formation schedule (possible move to 6pm start time for Middle School and High School Faith Formation for next school year).   Both Sr. M. Gemma and Amy Koehler will look more into this.
  1. Other business
    1. Tuition for next year’s school year was discussed.
      • Free Kindergarten?
      • Stay same the price or raise?
      • Option: Enroll early and get $200 off tuition.
      • Possibly combining 2 classes and cut one teacher.  Lois will need to look more into this by looking at the staff.
      • Lois projected around 95 students for next year.
      • $1,275 current tuition.
      Informational Reports
