Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order by Denise Stueck at 6 p.m.
In attendance: Denise Stueck, Lois Maczuzak, MaryEllen Waldvogel, Alex Schreiner, Ron Henn, Fred Ponschok, Correen Lewis, Penny Demerath and Nancy Schauer
Excused: Tom Berg, Mark Fuller, Mark Schulz and Becky Dillenburg
Opening Prayer: was performed
Approval of Agenda: Ponschok moved, Schauer seconded to approve agenda as printed. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes: Schreiner moved, Henn seconded to approve minutes. Motion carried.
Financial Statements: Schauer moved, Henn seconded to approve financial statements. Motion carried.
Correspondence: None
Informational Reports:
- Pastoral Office – No report
- Home & School – Playground chips have arrived. A date to spread them was not known. At the recent Home and School meeting the Catholic Knights did a presentation.
- Finance Council – see Financial Council minutes
- Director of Religious Education – Thanksgiving Feast for 2005 is now over, with lots of Parish participation. The Family Christmas tree will be in the Gathering space and a request from each member family for a picture that will be used to decorate the tree. Reconciliation will be celebrated during the Advent season. A float will be put in the Christmas Parade (12/2/05) by the RE Department. A house will be built and raffled to help raise monies for Sacred Heart Parish.
- School Administrator –Parent/teacher conferences will be held November 21 and 22, 2005. Also, on Monday, November 21, a POW WOW will be held during the parent teacher conferences along with a chili cook off. Information was sent to the students through their newsletter. The cheerleading coach needs training and was sent a letter with five options listed.
- Pastoral Council – see Pastoral Council minutes.
- Athletic Committee - A guest speaker (Michelle Eno, Athletic Director) spoke regarding different promotion ideas to be used at sporting events, etc. Twig’s will pay for half of the cost of a cardinal costume (mascot of Sacred Heart School) if their logo is used on its feet.
- BTCE Committees
- Personnel – No report
- Budget Proposal – No report
- Policy-need to set a subsequent meeting date to discuss a new policy that will set a 90 day probationary period for new students. Will be sent with next months meeting agenda for review.
- Development-No report
- Technology –No report
Old Business: Still seeking one new member.
New Business: Ponschok tried to discuss the article that was published on November 16, 2005 in the Green Bay Press Gazette titled: ‘Catholics tweak kids’ Masses’ (please see attachment). Members were leaving for subsequent meetings.
Announcements: Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 19, 2006 at the Parish Center, Upper Level
