Katrina is working with Penny who was unavailable to present the specifics of this program to the board—particularly the location, needed supplies, biohazard waste disposal issues, the need for VIRTUS/Protecting God’s Children training for volunteers.Mary Ellen offered to read a memo from Alex Schriener regarding moving Faith Formation classes to Sunday instead of Wed evening. We will table this discussion until the Oct. meeting when Alex is present.Catechists are still needed for 8 th grade, one for high school.Kindergarten Faith Formation classes were added this year. “Blest Are We” pamphlets have been ordered since there is not a textbook. Mielke Park “walk in the park” will be Oct 14. There will be music performed by Sacred Heart Students and High School students. Sacred Heart students will have artwork on display. Bishop Zubick will be coming Oct 29 th. Names and addresses of Alumni have been gathered. A big celebration for alumni is in the planning stages for the end of the school year—possibly a dance and/or dinner. The youth dance that was held during parish picnic in August 2006 had approximately 30 of our youth in attendance. Some felt that it was not publicized enough—a lot of the kids were not “talking about it” or aware it was going on. It was advertised in the bulletin and on the parish website. New Business: The "Gathering" will be held in Green Bay at St. Norbert’s College starting on Oct 6 2006—there are religious education classes available for teacher, catechists, and lay people.Other Business : Ponschok requested to have committee reports added to the October agenda.Closing Prayer: was held.Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006 at the Parish Center, Upper Level Meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Denise Stueck Secretary
