Parish Pastoral Council
The Parish Pastoral Council sets the direction of
parish life through listening and responding to the Spirit of God, organizing
lay participation and cooperation, facilitating shared practical wisdom, and
doing parish planning. The pastor with the assistance of the Parish Pastoral
Council determines the vision and mission of the parish.

Alexander made motion to approve agenda with one addition requested by Penney.

Team Reports:
Building and Grounds:Kyle: met tonight. reviewed items from the wish
list...repair of flat roof on N side of school/church and the center garage~
will replace one-half of the accuator valves. emergency lighting approved.
replace carpet in one classroom. new thermastat in the school. new circulating
pump for air in the church. steps at center will be replaced. Landscaping will
be done in the fall. Rectory floors in bath. laundry, and kitchen will be
replaced in the fall. white board at school will be repainted
Finance-Penny: Better picture than last month. Computer labs and technology will
be redone with Bleser Foundation funds. Income (envelopes)coming in..still down.
but. have had some really nice donations. $10,000 raised on calendar rame,.half
of income will go to Home-School. Seerogy Candy Sale netted $1.527. Expenses not
included in the budget-repairs to Father's house.
Stewardship: Possible Stewardship Fair in May..maybe have piano music during
coffee and rolls
Activities-Dale: Picnic..have people to work...need more. Fish Fry short of help
again..really need a co-chair..230 people served. probably made $1100. John
Gallagher reported on the golf outing... posters will be done by the
communications committee..same price as last year..committee meeting on Mon at
Golden Sands. Working on tickets for the picnic.. pricing change and increase in
number of payouts. Motion made to cut advertising on picnic due to not making
budget last year...not to exceed $700.00 for 2005. motion by Alexander. second-Ponschok
and carried.
Total C-atholic Education:Mary Ellen-bible study going but not very good
participation..Generations of Faith on confirmation, May 11 Guest speaker-Bert
Grover. Will finish out the sacraments nextyear..FirstCommunion on April 23/55
students. May 4-May Crowningi4 PM..September 24 Isaiha Ministry will hold a
mission here
September 24/notconfirmedasyet. Lois: School going fine..Enrollmentisat 144 for
next year which is ahead of last year. Public School Patnership.
Communications: Walberta: Pulse will be out soon.
Human Concems.-Geri: StVincentde Paul will now be handling the food
baske~atthe church entrances. 6 members attended a seminar at St Rose in
Clintonville...new ideas..4 new members have joined.
Building Projec.t...Phase II: Committee met had 6 members-now down to 4...need
more members. Next meeting is Tuesday.
New Bwiness~ Kyle working on candidates for pastoral council... has 2 committed
at this time Penney discussed changes in security at the center. The back door
will now be locked during the day..ring bell for service, encouraged to use
front door. For evening meetings, janitor will open door 10 minutes before start
of first meeting, wait for someone to come, then each committee will have to
have someone stand at door until all members are present. All directions
distributed and attached to these minutes.
