Big 6 basketball tournament in Bonduel this weekend!

A copy of the Pastoral Council minutes should be forwarded to the Board of Ed.

  • Discussion on the fact that we do not have a quorum. The interpretation of the by laws is that the 2/3’s in attendance is required for discussing new business only. Three items to be discussed are:

1.     The Picnic- the Polka band should be booked so we do not lose the date. The consensus of the group in attendance is to book the band and continue to search for chairpersons for the picnic.

2.     The Golf outing – no chairpersons and no golf course booked yet- after discussion it is agreed to table this until the next meeting.

3.     A new layout for the bulletin – more discussion to follow at the next meeting. The Day of Reflection continues to be on our list of new items – again it should be discussed with the whole group and is tabled again until the next meeting.

V.        Review of the By-laws

Could not be discussed due to the fact that we do not have enough for a quorum.

VI.       Committee Updates:

A.    Building & Grounds- The Boiler repair is completely paid. The second collection for a particular item that is clearly spelled out to everyone seems to be a success. A report was given by Herb of the walk thru the church and the Rectory and the committee has recommended a $12-15,000 budget for 2007-2008; the school walk thru will happen in the near future- report to follow.

B.    Finance - Lumen Christi can be used for all Religious Education. Collection, tuition and fundraisers are all down per the budgeted amounts. Finance Council will meet next week.

C.    Activities - Golf outing – looking for volunteers       Picnic – looking for chair person(s) for this year.

D.    Stewardship - Advancing the Mission

E.    Liturgy & Worship - No report
