Sacred Heart is established to form a community aware of God's presence and
action among us in the Sacraments and in other forms of worship.

Music
|
Ministers of
music foster a spirit of active participation of the assembly in song.
Their purpose, whether as singers or as instrumentalists, is to lead,
support, and enrich the assembled members' sung prayer, and to bring to
the liturgy a sense of celebration not achieved by any other ministry.

Ministry
of the Word
|
Ministers
of the Word proclaim the scriptures in the midst of the assembly. God's
plan for salvation is revealed to all who listen when the sacred
scriptures are proclaimed. In the hearing of God's word, the Church is
built up and grows.

of the Eucharist |
The
Ministers of Eucharist perform the extraordinary service of bringing the
presence of Christ to all who share in the body and blood of Christ.
They are ministers of the assembly in the service of the Lord.

Eucharist
to the home bound and assisted living homes is offered at least
once a month. |
|
Eucharist
is offered to all Catholics in the Shawano Medical Center almost
every day of the week. Visits are also made to parishioners in
other area hospitals. It is important to let the hospital know
that you are a member of Sacred Heart so that we know you are a
patient in the hospital. |

Eucharist
is offered to all Catholics in Shawano Nursing homes every Sunday
and Tuesday mornings.
Weekend Schedule

Ushers |
Ushers are often the first representative of the Christian community to be seen by people entering
the church; maybe their only personal, one-on-one contact during the
liturgy. The ushers' role is to lead the people into readiness for

Group
|
Every Monday
evening at 7:00pm the Rosary is prayed in church. |
|
Art
& Environment
|
This committee is responsible for the art environment in
the church, including the placement and care of plants and flowers
and/or banners and other art decoration in the church. This is done in
conjunction with the Worship and Spiritual Life Committee.

Scripture
Group |
Several
Scripture groups meet at various times to reflect on the Scripture and
share fellowship. Contact the center at 526-2023 if you are interested
in joining one of these groups.
